Summary
Will hasn’t moved a muscle, still turned away from Mike. He’s going crazy. Mike is going crazy. Past the initial shock, Mike’s heart starts to speed up in his chest. Thump, thump, thump, against his ribcage. Palms start to sweat, feeling cold despite the humid summer heat.
There it is, Mike’s confirmation. Those fleeting feelings, flashes in the corner of his eye, silhouettes at the fringes of his bed during late nights. Months of plausible deniability. There’s no denying what he sees now – and it’s terrifying.
Yet, he can’t turn away. Shakily, Mike begins to move towards the mirage. Because it has to be a mirage, right? Each step dispels the thoughts of a false image as the boy grows clearer with the closing distance. A moth drawn to light.
In which Mike is being haunted by Will, despite not speaking to him in years. He must find a way to stop the hauntings, which means seeking out the source. Turns out Mike isn't the only one who's seeing things.

Summary
And he’s good at noticing things; he knew when Erica stole any of his action figures. He knew when Dustin lied about being sick because he always sounded so guilty over the radio. He knew that Will and Mike had a special relationship. He knew that there was something El wasn’t telling them when Will was missing. He knew Mike clung onto her in a weird way. He knew that kids calling Will, ‘Zombie Boy,’ meant more than just him coming back to life. He knew when Max liked him. He knew when she was mad at him, and he knew when to leave her alone or beg her for forgiveness.
He knew that he was different. He knows that he’s different.

So, he’s not stupid. Far from it, actually.
And that’s why he knows Mike is acting really, really weird.

Summary
His Mom smiles at him with a knowing look, and Jonathan has an arch to his brow like he wants to ask more – but before either can, there’s the sound of a thud.
Will’s smile falls into his stomach. It wrenches with fear, with horror.
All three look to the entrance of the lounge, the direction of the thud.
“Shit,” says someone out of sight, just beyond the entrance, almost too soft to catch.
Will’s blood runs cold, because he knows that voice, knows the specific lilt of it.
“Mike?"
Or, Will comes out on his own terms, to the two people who truly matter - and is overheard by the one other person who means the most. In wake of the revelation, they decide to split off and take the final battle with Vecna into their own hands, all while navigating the undeniable pull that grows between them.
