Finn didn’t react, but his brows furrowed and his frown went into a thin line. Robin didn’t even realize he was crying until a tear dropped on Finn’s cheek. He wiped that away, too. Finney’ breath came out roughly. Sometimes, he’d stop breathing for a long time, then take deep, deep, deep inhales. “Sleep, Finn. I’ll protect you, okay?” He whispered.
The boy nodded, softly. And for the first time of the night, Finn’s face relaxed and his breathing slowed.
“I’ll get us out of here, buddy, I promise…” He mumbled, sleepily. “You deserve the world and all the stars, Finney.”

“Huh, and here I thought you knew me, Blake,” Finney barked out a laugh and pushed Robin’s shoulder lightly.
Finney paused for a moment, “so, what was it this time?”
Robin shrugged, “Talk shit, get hit.”
“No way you actually just said that,” Finney laughed as he moved on to the second hand.
They sat in silence for a bit, falling into their typical routine. Robin wouldn’t admit how much he enjoyed having someone else do this for him. He enjoyed being taken care of. Finney didn’t see him as mean or violent like everyone else did. He saw him as a human and a friend.
