Yeah, that was probably a mistake, but so was going to fight Garmadon, so it was hardly his first today. Wait, was it the same day? There was no way Lloyd was knocked out for that long, right?
He was a little rusty, his last kidnapping was only, like, a week ago.

But the point was, Lloyd loved physical affection.

Mr Stark didn’t know where he was. Mr Stark had no idea he was in the suit at all. As far as he was concerned, Peter was on the journey around New York just above a mustard yellow taxi on his evening patrols. Peter shouldn’t have stayed quiet. The Avengers would’ve helped—they’d begged Peter a thousand times to just ask.
But now, he didn't know where he was. What they wanted from him. What they’d injected into his body to make his limbs feel like melted rubber that had been compressed by a road roller.
At least he knew one thing. Mr Stark wasn’t coming to save him.

Peter squints at it. It’s unnaturally vibrant, standing out against the sea of mainly monochrome suits and dresses with its red-to-orange gradient. Pierced on the rim is a slice of orange, along with a cherry and a somehow lavish miniature umbrella. Something about it makes Peter feel uneasy.
Tony sees his scrutiny. “It’s fine,” He assures, “I had these all the time when I was your age.”

“That isn’t reassuring.”“It’s a mocktail,” He amends, “It’s just, like, way too much fruit juice and some club soda. Look, there’s even a little umbrella. I had to ask for that, you know.”
Something still feels wrong, but Tony has been holding the drink out for so long it’s starting to get awkward, and Peter is grateful for the gesture, so he takes it.

Charlie called in the volunteer rescue crews for the next few days after their game, the entire family, both human and bot, needing rest and time to sort through their emotions. Despite all the smiles and assurances from each other, everyone knew it had been a hard few days, and sooner or later, someone was going to crack.
Unsurprisingly, Cody was the first in the form of a nightmare, waking up the household as he cried out for Heatwave and the others to come back to him, tossing and turning in his bed as the others hurried to his room.

Bruce was always bad at asking for help; he had this inherent opinion that he deserved it somehow. Of all the things he had been given in his life, it was only fair that he should bear his struggles on his own. That asking for help was essentially confessing that he wasn’t able to handle it. That The Batman was weak and wasn’t able to handle Gotham’s criminals. That there was no point in even trying.
However, it seemed that he was at the end of his rope. There really wasn’t another option this time. He had to grit and bear it.
He held onto his ribs tighter and bit back a groan. “Clark”, he nearly whispered.
If Clark was able to hear his heartbeat for god’s sake, he could likely hear his own name. Bruce certainly hoped. It was later in the night, Clark likely was out patrolling Metropolis. Maybe got himself into his own squabble with criminals.
“Clark please.” He said through his teeth.
