A surprisingly short read, but lots of fun. Plenty of action, comedic sociopathy, and magick shenanigans involved. Also one of my favorite depictions of Slenderman; simultaneously wild, alien, and intelligent, and having a more realistic relationship with his proxies instead of leaning into the Team Dad trope.

Getting thrown into a parallel universe naturally involves a learning curve- anyone can guess that. But it's not the big things that cause the problems- not the magic, or the presence of actual fairies and beastmen and merfolk or even the emotionally constipated teenagers exploding into ink. It's the little things. The tiny differences that nobody thinks about until they're gone. A million tiny changes.
A million and one minutia.
(Or, snapshots of moments where the residents of Twisted Wonderland and their magicless prefect realize their respective worlds' differences.)

Gray is an interesting character who's not overstated, but has her fair share of angst and mystery to her. This fic is all about discussing the similarities and differences between Twisted Wonderland and Earth, and how being transported to another world might affect someone mentally. Also dips into discussion of mental health, trauma, and loss in ways I feel are respectful but also realistic. The character relationships feel earned.

One of the few DC/Homestuck crossovers I can find, and a very, very good one. A delicate balance of character arcs that all somehow work to push forward a story. Shit goes from chill to not in a heartbeat (which is to be expected from a HS fic). Left off at Chapter 50.
