Whenever Dark Enchantress Cookie is in a state of distress, she ventures into a headspace, a field of white lilies, and takes her anger out on an imitation of the past, weaker version of herself. A form of stress relief - if you will.
But one day, when she was feeling particularly heated, that same fragile cookie from the past gained consciousness and decided to ease her suffering.
Perhaps that weak cookie from the past wasn't so weak after all.

Hajime had been the one to insist they go to different universities. Privately, he’d thought the distance would help them grow. As people and as individuals, as Iwaizumi and Oikawa, rather than the Iwaizumi-and-Oikawa that had applied throughout middle and high-school.
Unfortunately, all the distance was doing so far was proving that Hajime was an idiot.
alt: oikawa gets injured while 300 kilometers away, and hajime is on a train and by his side before his brain can quite catch up. cue introspection, pining, feelings realisation and domestic fluff.
