Work Text:
They were created by the powerful vergence running through the Force
The two of them, much wanted, blessed children, twins, one half of a whole
There was nothing their mothers, their coven of witches would not for them do
Loved and cared for they were, as any other child never had it that good
The two always together, sharing their time, their play even their secrets with the other
Life always good on the safe haven of a planet far away from those wanting a quarrel
The days long and warm all year round, nature calm and soothing, oh what fun!
As long as the two followed all the set rules. and up to a point, it was true, as the two were certainly no fools
Even if playing in the trees in the forest was forbidden, but the two had a place hidden
Under the tallest of the old tree as pretty as eyes could see
The two kids made their games there, playing for laughs and learning
Neither of them ever doubting they needed more than each other and their coven family, no other yearning
But then as time went on, the two no longer toddlers with constant giggles and smiles all day long
Growing up perhaps a little too fast, their mothers only hoping the childhood a spell longer to last
Alas, the tones of all their lives were a changing, too quickly, too soon, without a doubt there
Those pleasant moments becoming more and more rare, with no time to spare
Things all around sounding like someone singing on the wrong note, as if out of despair
And so it happened, the fear soon coming alive
As the enemy of theirs, the one of many having found them all,
The happenings soon turning from good to vile
As apparently, no spell nor force field strong enough to keep them safe beyond wonder
Those pesky Jedi having seen through their cover, wanting to tear the family asunder
The fight, the tragedy, everything going to hell, as not even the strongest spell helped the inevitability for happening
The other lost, the second taken, the bond between the two bound souls apart breaking
They said it was but a small token, saving one half and not the other, something outspoken
Perhaps the enemy could really not be bothered, with another life saved or to honour,
To care enough of the whole, rather tearing apart the circle of two having always been made full
Once again time passed, but the status quo usually never able to last
Not in the galaxy hell bent on changing its trajectory over and over again
And so out of the blue, the one having been though lost to the two halves was found
Not a happy reunion that was obvious for anyone to tell, each standing their own ground
Doubt, guilt, accusations and the inevitable fight soon enough ensued
A few revenge filled deaths meanwhile too, all after a hefty pursuit
To it all, there really was no good kind of an excuse
All of the happenings for either half done without much thought
The tether certainly having become broken beyond repair
The consensus for them all, spoken out in despair
As it was, neither of the halves lives had turned out as expected
Hatred and failure along with the feelings of being neglected
No longer true friends nor family for support
Not even the other half sharing the beating heart small
As nothing seemed to matter anymore for either party involved
How could either of them move on from here?
With so much bad blood to fill a large size sphere?
Perhaps it could be possible to mend fences
To move forward, alone or together, tearing built defences
Only time, would tell, unless…
… things were about to change?
