He's out with his friend Bill when Eddie Kaspbrak breaks his arm. As soon as he comes back home, his mother decides she's had enough.
The Kaspbraks move away for the summer, and Eddie is forced to live in a creepy house in the middle of nowhere, with some creepy neighbours and one loud obnoxious kid that annoys the shit out of him.
When this kid gives Eddie a doll that is an exact copy of himself, things start to get weirder until Eddie opens the gate for the Other World.
There, everything's better. His other mother, with buttons instead of her eyes, is not overbearing, she lets him eat whatever he wants and she lets him play outside.

a fucking coraline! reddie au??? fucking SIGN ME UP????? i saw art on this concept a while ago, and now ive found the story to it!!! is this fate? maybe.
ok but SERIOUSLY. i LOVE this. Coraline is such a good movie and I love it Loads so i was so excited when i saw THIS gem. I love how its completely different from the movie but it still is able to tie into it perfectly. I love the writing and the creepy and eerie atmosphere the fic gave me (of course it felt better when eddie had company, aka richie) I love the little details and obvious contrasts between richie and eddie ! Richie tozier is smart and he may be sorta magical lol. he knew stan was Stan as soon as he saw him, and he just knew his name. richie has got a thing for getting into weird peculiar situations, huh?
i love the way eddies house is described (even if its gross as fuck and probably will collapse) just the cold and blue tones im getting from it is great. the little quips of eddies thoughts being 'gross, god why do i have to live in this house' is SO him its great!!! I love how on eddies first day, when he met richie, he brought a fucking KNIFE WITH HIM. this boy is cautious and scary af.I love the scene where eddie and richie both clean the house together, its a little pocket of joy-- the warm tones and comfort of a home or home just seeping through this little scene. They were laughing the whole time and dont think for one second that i didnt catch the part where eddie thought that That was the hardest and longest time hes ever laughed/ anyone has ever made him laugh-- and that he really did love it when richie made mom jokes, called him eds, and basically jsut talking to him.
The Other place was so off and creepy as fuck because it was Perfect. which is extremley weird. and the Other Richie never talked, and eddie himself felt wrong when richie wouldnt talk back to him, or say Anything.
and i want to talk about eddies little crush on bill; i love how eddie had at first compared most things richie did to bill, but as time went on, he didnt compare what richie did to bill, he just watched richie Be. yknow? bill and richie are completely different to eddies eyes, but the difference was -- or this is how it was for me -- was that bill was this untouchable/unobtainable person, charming, sure, and cared deeply, while richie was this loudmouth and he was There. richie could hold eddie and was. just. i want to say like, real? but that doesnt make any sense because bill is real, too obviously. but like. richie is Real. yknow? this made more sense in my mind nvm lol
he loved real. richie loved eddie right. unlike his mom, who cared in some twisted way, but she loved him; just wrong, and im not sure if it was that she loved him, more like loved being in control.
anywyas, i LOVE stan, hes so snarky and all knowing, boy do i miss him. him being a bird??? classic. and just. god. i love him SM!!!!!!!!!!! he has such a calm prescense that he brings about himself, and i love that. and now he actually has his body back and hes able to find his family :'') gosh i am SOFT for him

i read this wayyyyyy back when s1 of hh was in the midst of its popularity. I loved this fic so much (because it’s not every day you fine one that aligns to you to a tea! the nurse to dr. pipeline is my dream.)
and at the time i never thought to save it (i originally found this on tumblr and we all know how things can go missing in your likes even after a few weeks)
i think about scenes in this regularly, and now that s2 is coming out i knew i had to find this masterpiece again.
it still gets me every time. its perfection.
i love them. i love their relationship. they are truly, foolishly in love!
