At this, Quackity made a strangled hissing noise, swatting at Wilbur's leg. His pupils narrowed. “No. Fucking. Alphas.”
“No alphas?” Wilbur echoed uncomprehendingly.
“I'm not joking. If you bring an alpha in here, Wilbur, I swear to god I’ll kill you.”
“Alright, I got it. No alphas.” Wilbur put his hands up in a gesture of surrender. “You know this is going to take a lot longer without one, right?”
Quackity glared daggers at him. “I don't give a shit.”
Wilbur sighed and made a mental note to message Tommy and Phil that he’d be busy for the next few days. “Okay, then what do you need from me? Should I find you some more blankets, or–”
“Wilbur,” Quackity said, “I don't need more blankets. You know me. Connect the fucking dots.”

Wilbur had helped out with plenty of mating cycles in his day. He knew his role as a beta by heart. So when Quackity called on him to help with his heat, Wilbur thought he knew exactly what to expect.
