Summary
Name is what you build your sense of self around of. If the name doesn't fit or causes you grief, you pick a new one. She did so once, she did so twice. But leaving behind the name and the past associated with it, didn't mean those things never happened.
She knew she had been reincarnated. But for the life she could not remember if this world was one she'd interracted with through some media in her previous life.
She made a... friend? Protector? But associating with him brought her more grief because of other people. She would be fine though. (She was not.)
He stepped in. Became her shield. She knew he was playing a longer game and she didn't know the outcome he sought for either of them. Yet she put her trust in his hands.
But the only freedom either of them could get, was through death. (He gave her freedom, she could not pay him back enough)
Her journey continued to the stars with new name and new friends. With the story of this world waiting to open before her.

Aventurine was a name that had become very popular recently around Pierpoint. The man appeared one sudden day, on the bustling and most lavish street in the city, in a site coveted by many investors as the perfect place to make a fortune and installed the Golden Palace. In the blink of an eye, the place was brimming with people ready to earn some capital or degust the exquisite drinks at the bar.
The reason? The strange rule that surrounded the casino. The owner claimed upon opening that “everyone capable of beating him in a game of chance would instantly become the owner of the place.” Being such a highly sought and strategically located site, it wasn’t long before the place was conglomerated with people wanting to get their hands on the land.
And just as they arrived, one by one, they were defeated in any kind of bet they made with the blond... All the gossip, added to the fact that after months, the name affixed to the casino was the same, brought impressive popularity to the place.
Or alternative title: An AU in which Ratio and Aventurine are united by fate to work investigating a series of disappearances in Pier Point. Soon, they realize this journey may not be what they initially thought.

Aventurine, un nombre que se había vuelto bastante popular en los alrededores de Pier Point recientemente. El hombre apareció un día cualquiera, en la calle más ajetreada y suntuosa de la ciudad en un terreno anhelado por muchos inversionistas como el lugar perfecto para hacer una fortuna e instaló el Golden Palace. En un abrir y cerrar de ojos el lugar estaba rebosante de personas dispuestas a ganar capital o a probar las exquisitas bebidas de la barra.
¿La razón? La extraña norma que rodeaba al casino. El dueño aseguró al abrir que “cualquier persona que pudiera ganarle en cualquier juego de azar se convertiría en el propietario del lugar instantáneamente.” No faltó tiempo antes de que el lugar fuera conglomerado de personas que quisieran hacerse con el terreno.
Y así como llegaban, uno a uno eran vencidos en cualquier tipo de apuesta que hicieran con el rubio... Especialmente considerando que, después de meses, el nombre adherido a las escrituras del casino seguía siendo el mismo.
O título alternativo: Un AU en el que Ratio y Aventurine son unidos por el destino para investigar una serie de desapariciones en Pier Point. Pronto, se dan cuenta de que este viaje no era lo que inicialmente pensaban.

According to scripture The Harmony affected some of the symptoms of pregnancy. Mostly the emotional ones. Even as a reasonably religious man, Sunday always believed that to be somewhat of a myth. Just a lucky coincidence that those who followed the path of Harmony had a relatively happy pregnancy. A side product of having access to tuning and telepathy that their partners during and after were usually very attentive and emotionally intelligent. Just like taking care of a newborn came slightly easier for THEIR followers, as the children could communicate their exact needs much earlier. They were simply attuned to the parents.

Without a Synesthesia Beacon, every conversation is a puzzle, a bluff. The new Stoneheart has learned to fake fluency in the IPC's language, Universalis, the same way he learned everything else: through observation and context, by slipping through the cracks with charm and deception.
That is, until Dr. Ratio cares enough to scrutinize him, and refuses to look away.
