Summary
14-year-old Johnny Alpha leads a patrol into the rad-lands to liaise with other Mutant Army rebels. Unknown to the mutants, there’s a new threat out there… bounty hunters.
A version of this story was published in issue 2 of Dogbreath, the Strontium Dog fanzine. The original was infodump a-go-go. I’ve culled a lot of that, but chapter 1 is still largely world-building and context. If you want to go straight to the action bits, skip ahead to chapter 2. I’ve updated some stuff to take account of technology changes in the Real World since I wrote the original, plus more recent SD strips featuring young Alpha. And added a chunk to create a new ending. -
