Summary
Alastor’s shadow has a mind of its own, thank you very much. It does what it’s told when it comes to Alastor, but whenever its master has nothing specific planned for it, his shadow likes to wander. To explore the depths of the hotel and try and get a feel for it. Sneaking around, trying to scare other people’s shadows, and see if it can gather any useful information for Alastor.
But his shadow is also an extension of its master, the thoughts he cannot bring himself to voice aloud. What happens when his shadow begins to wrap itself around a certain spider?

A sentient Shadow had never been a problem for Alastor, it’s an useful resource to not have to deal with the real strength of his most primal emotions, a valuable ally when in battle he needed a helping hand. And, apparently, a life saver when his stubbornness would risk his own existence.
Yet, something he never expected from it was to develop a liking for other being, much less a liking for the King of Hell.

Alastor had a long week and he just wants to relax. When he can’t seem to move things in the direction he wants, the one being he can never seem to be able to rid himself from gives him a helping hand. Or two, and maybe something else.
