“You really believe in all that stuff?”
Izzy leveled a look back at him. “And you don’t? Not any of it? Not ghosts, or aliens, or magic? Not even miracles?"
Alec snorted. “I’m a homicide detective, Iz. No one else in the world could use a miracle or two as much as I could. But this?” he tapped the ream of papers in his hand. “This isn’t going to have a happy ending, Iz. Other people have been trying to solve it for years.”

When journalist Isabelle Lightwood goes missing during an investigation for an upcoming article, her brother, detective Alec Lightwood, takes matters into his own hands. His search for his sister leads him to the mysterious Pandemonium nightclub -- a supposedly haunted venue that has been at the center of a series of disappearances spanning decades. Once inside, Alec attempts to wind his way through the crowds and various floors, only to realize that not only is the nightclub bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, but also that he is unable to leave. In order to find his sister and free himself and the others trapped inside, Alec must employ the help of Magnus Bane -- an elusive and alluring man whose own fate is deeply entangled with that of the club. -

Licking the Philosopher's Stone was perhaps not something Harry would have done if he'd known what it was. But that act, along with so many others, started him down his path to building a library with Hermione and Millicent while Riddle lurked in the background. So, he was happy with how things turned out.

Summary
Hifumi puts away his socks in his drawer, and steps into Doppo’s room to drop the rest of the socks off next to a pile of freshly ironed shirts. The door creaks as loudly as usual, like it does every time Hifumi enters the room alone.
“What do you want from me,” Hifumi mumbles. The door softly creaks in response, as if it's mocking him.
It’s not that their apartment doesn’t like him, because it does, it really does. It likes helping Hifumi: it flings open the drawers Hifumi asks when he’s cooking and both of his hands are full, closes taps, and never, never ever lets spiders in. But sometimes it gets stubborn, but that’s the price they have to pay for an otherwise helpful building. The worst it has ever done was almost locking Doppo with him into their teeny tiny pantry a few hours after Hifumi accidentally said something about kissing Doppo out loud, but nothing happened, really, crisis averted. But that was a while ago, it should know better by now.
(OR: household chores, a mundanely magical apartment, a few text messages, and some waiting) -

Summary
The creature sweeps a wing towards the room, as if to gesture to the stones themselves. “This Castle is… old. It has a lot of history. Roses hold a lot of symbolism for the deity that once lived here, the one the Castle was made for.”
Techno squints. “What kind of symbolism?” He asks suspiciously.
“You might have noticed,” The monster’s voice rumbles, rolling slowly through the air, “But the Castle’s Signet is a rose. Black ones hold significance, yes, but yellow…” He makes a face like he’s pursing his lips, though it’s hard to tell through his twisted features. “They are important.”

Summary
In a world where buildings can think and speak for themselves, brought to life by human thoughts and dreams, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris watches over her city and people, her soul unseen and voice unheard by all.
That is, until one night in the late fifteenth century, when a tiny thief stumbles through her doors…Poppylan López is a small scrap of a girl caught between two worlds. When she accepts an ill-advised bet, the two worlds become three. Incapacitated by devastating injuries and trapped in the distant past, she just wants to find a way back home. And then there's the matter of the voice in her head...
Poppy isn't a stranger to hearing things, but there's no way the voice is who it says it is.As both Notre-Dame and Poppy struggle to adjust to their new realities, they are unaware of the ways in which things will continue to change. These events are beginning to shift the course of what is both the unknown future and well-worn history, rewriting a story that has yet to be written.
*ironically im working on rewriting parts of this, esp the first chapter but also i took it down for basically no reason so ig it will just be here. stay tuned for the updates!

Summary
All eyes were on Notre-Dame in the spring of 2019, for good reason. But what the humans don’t know is that something terrible also happened with a different building only a few months before. Westminster Abbey -one of Notrie’s closest friends, social butterfly and life of the party- suddenly went silent.
Dead silent.
No one knows how or why it happened, though they have their theories. But one thing’s for certain: Abbey’s dead, because that cold, empty silence for a building equals death. Everyone has been mourning because she’s gone.
Except… she’s not.Series

“What was it like when you lived here?” Mabel asked, gesturing at the Shack.
Ford let out a gentle chuckle. “Very different, I assure you. If these walls could talk, I'm sure they would tell some stories.”
Oh, if only he knew.

Summary
Harry is willing to utilize some of his Slytherin tendencies. Hedwig is more than just a mail owl, and Hogwarts is more than just a building. Snape isn't actually an asshole, though he's been playing one for years. Those with power and influence are willing, ready, and able to USE it to its fullest. Voldemort is sane and bringing the keen, calculating mind that allowed him to sway so many to his cause prior to the 70's back to bear on the world. The Muggle world does not remain in total ignorance of what's going on in the magical, and is willing to fight back.
When all is said and done, everything will have changed. The world will never be the same. The only question that remains is what form the new world will take.

Summary
When the sky goes wrong and the world breaks around him, when the good cows mutate frightening and decidedly bad, when his mind and heart and being recoil from fear, Martin Blackwood thinks, stupidly and somewhat predictably, of T. S. Eliot. Of “The Hollow Men”. Of this is the way the world ends.
Except, for all that beautiful poetry, Eliot was wrong, because the world doesn’t end with a bang, sure, but it doesn’t end with a whimper, either. It ends with the distant-yet-deafening voice of the man Martin loves shouting through a ragged, wild throat--I open the door.
(The world ends, Jon shatters, and Martin tries to fix it. The house tries, too, in its own way.)
