Ignis śmiał się jak szalony niskim, zmysłowym głosem. Z zaszklonymi oczami i wilgotnymi od krwi ustami wyglądał jak na ekstazie, wpatrując się w przestrzeń przed sobą spod ciężkich powiek i długich rzęs, jakby widział przed sobą coś nieskończenie pięknego. Pozwolił Celerowi złapać się za ramię, ale oparł się przy tym o Lorda Renegata leniwie, nadal śmiejąc się do siebie. Jego oddechy były coraz szybsze, urywane. Z głową wspartą o ramię Nexa spojrzał wreszcie na Celera.
- Nie rozumiem, po co się powstrzymujesz – wymruczał, patrząc na niego prowokująco. – Po co się ograniczać z taką siłą w zasięgu ręki? Wiesz, jakie to uczucie? Spróbuj… Proszę…
Otarł z ust świeżą, wonną krew zmieszaną ze swą własną i wyciągnął dłoń ku niemu, zbliżając ją do jego ust.
Ignis szuka dla siebie miejsca po upadku rewolucji, lub po jej sukcesie, zależy kogo spytać. Nex, wbrew wszelkiemu rozsądkowi, nie może wyrzucić go z głowy. Parer zerwał się ze smyczy Viticuli i zapłacił za to cenę. Skazany na jego towarzystwo Res jest zmuszony przemyśleć to i owo. Inanici knują, by uchronić się przed knuciem innych rodów.
