Joel wasn't ready, by any definition of that word, for what life had prepared for him as he strolled out of a class exactly one month after the beginning of term.
He walked out just to find his face on full display for the school to see, huge and framed in gold, a painting hung up on the central wall of their school’s art gallery. The naming plaque beside the painting was blank, just like the artist - though unsigned - was purposefully teasing ‘Come find me.’
Joel couldn’t believe their audacity.
He was once more the center of attention and of a plot he didn't know, but he sure as hell wasn't complaining. And if he did know one thing, it was that whoever was inviting him to play this game of hide and seek had no clue what they were signing up for. He’d win; they didn’t stand a chance.
He was Joel Smallishbeans, after all.

You essentially melted into his touch, nuzzling into his hands on instinct as he pressed closer. “I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve felt that, and I thought I never would again.” He said, honesty showing in his glassy hazel eyes. “Until I saw you tonight.”

Dynamics between people at the private club Obsidian House are known by various names, dominant/submissive, top/bottom, alpha/omega, master/slave. This exchange of power, control and authority is seductive.
Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander also have this dynamic but want to get out of there comfort - Shane needs to be more assertive and trust himself, and Ilya needs to learn to give up control to Shane in every way - both things are difficult, so control issues have made them decided to take a female submissive.
You were at the Obsidian House to give up control, for your own preference you requested to be blindfolded always while being with your two dominants - you've never seen their faces, only their touches and voices. Statistically the chances of you running into them outside Obsidian House is astronomically improbable. Or so you thought.
