I had a random idea today about a race of Cyclops giants in the Chasm of Stars who served the purpose of building starships, and it filled so neatly a gap in my worldbuilding in regards to where starship development in the Chasm came from and which race was the first to start innovating them on such a wide scale that it became a crucial, potential backstory item for other ancient story threads, such as the origin of all races on the planet Adishem, how Adishem became lost, why Zurzumzarazul created the races he did, and why the races spread to so many other planets after that, plus why there are other races beyond the Elderlands where Byrenna and Rusidra are.
With that in mind, I wrote a bit of meta to exploring the concept; nothing too suitable for a story, but the folklore behind the idea of the Shipbuilders is interesting, and was kind of fun to put together in any case.
