Keith dug his fingers into the skin around Lance’s hip bones, causing him to let out a groan. He could feel Keith’s mouth twist up into a satisfied smile as he continued kissing him. Lance tugged on Keith’s hair, pulling his head away and giving them both a chance to breathe. Keith obliged, letting his head fall back and exposing his neck. Lance took the opportunity to kiss along the skin there, nibbling occasionally. He lived for the ragged breaths Keith was letting out and the way he pressed himself harder into Lance as if any space between them were too much space.
“We need to move,” Keith breathed out, his words faltering as Lance bit gently along his shoulder. “Unless you just want me to pin you to this wall and take you.”

Keith didn’t answer. He didn’t need Lance’s stupid pity. He didn’t need him to make this any harder than it already was. It already took the last of his strength to get here, he certainly didn’t need another distraction from his end goal.
“Listen, Keith, if you won’t step down, can you at least tell me why?” Lance tilted his head, pleading.
Keith squared his shoulders, his entire body was tense, the only moving thing about him was his hair, and it was whipping around him. He took a deep breath, visibly shuddering when he let it out. “Your idea of sadness and my idea of sadness is completely different.”
Lance was curious, confused and concerned, yet curious, “How so?”

Of course not. And Lance would very much like to keep it that way, thank you! Keith already doesn't want anything to do with him ever since coming back from that space whale; the last thing Lance needs on top of his crumbling self-worth and shaky standing in the team is a rejection that shatters his heart in pieces, too.
But now, Lance got himself in a bit of a pickle. Which is fine, because Lance has a plan to get out of it! A wonderful, brilliant, masterful, completely fool-proof plan. His team won't look at him like he's more incompetent than they already do, he won't have to spend the rest of his life trapped on some alien planet, and Keith will never find out just how head over heels he is for him. It's a win-win-win situation.
Of course, with Keith, things are never quite so simple, and Lance's plan soon causes a domino effect that changes the entire course of his life.

The faint lilac glow and gentle buzz had woken Keith up immediately, being used to waking up from a deep sleep to pick up a call from the castle whenever he could to talk to his friends. He couldn’t believe it. He thought Kolivan had told everyone that he and Krolia were MIA and probably presumed dead too, and that’s why they hadn’t called. Or more likely they had been calling and Space Signal didn’t extend to Quantum Abysses (Abyssi? What was the plural of Abyss, Keith wondered).
“Krolia!” He yelled, startling himself from his thoughts and her from her watch so badly that she hit her head on the cave’s wall.
“Keith! What has happened?” She panted, eyes frantic.
“They’re calling! They’re calling, we must’ve gotten a signal or they must have- wait I have to pick up before I lose them!” Keith taps his wrist and Lance’s face pops up on the holloscreen.
______________Basically, I didn't like that Keith and Krolia were completely isolated on the space whale for two years so I fixed it and I made it Klance because that's what I do.
