And to complicate matters further, it's not a drug or infection--CMO Unohana says it's something to do with the gaps in Ichigo's knowledge of his family tree.

Demons and magical folk have been at war since the Great Split, when demonkind began spilling from their dimension into wizarding society centuries ago. After an age of slaughtering witches and wizards alike, the king of demons leaves a one year old Harry Potter alive with nothing but a scar. Soon after he demands a treaty to end the war with Albus Dumbledore, leader of the demon hunting Order of the Phoenix.
Years later demons are being integrated into wizarding society as a major stipulation of the treaty - this includes demonic students attending Hogwarts. Second Year Harry Potter, famous for his survival and supposed defeating of the demon king, faces the next six years of school side by side with Lord Voldemort's minions.

They did not think of what it meant, to immerse him in the violent honor of survival of the fittest. They did not think of the consequences.
Obi-Wan integrates. The result is beyond what the Mandalorians could have predicted.

On top of everything else going on, now Earth is being attacked by literal space aliens, because apparently the infamous Potter luck has escalated to screwing over the whole damn planet.

whole explanation on Jedi powers vs Magic powers feels right. That the Jedi manage to be even less accepting of other traditions ways of using the force/magic is bit of a funny. The conclusion that Jedi have managed to miss all but possibly the most powerful potential force users/mages is also interesting. Depending on how the numbers work out on how much of the galactic population actually gets checked for force sensitivity the numbers may work out to suggest that the average Jedi has more potential than any mage ever. They do do some pretty crazy stuff in the pre-Disney canon so I guess that checks out.
