What was Kirkwall going to do with five Hawke siblings roaming the city? Two had been bad enough, but no, this time it was five. Aryia, Garrett, Carver, Bethany and Sarai had all made it to Kirkwall with their mother and mabrai, and now were clawing their way out of the dirt to give their family a better life. Will they manage it successfully, or will the family fall apart to old and new wounds?
(Basically I picked all my Hawkes. Mage, Warrior and Rogue, and Purple, Blue and Red. Why choose one when you can have all playthroughs?)

Summary
This is the story of Kate Enasallen, living her teenage years in Kirkwall during the time of the Champion. She leaves Denerim as a stowaway after the Battle changes her life forever, and through a series of misadventures eventually ends up in Kirkwall and befriending (or not) the usual suspects. But this story is not about them or their shenanigans, it’s about a lost teenager trying to find her place in the world, while also having to survive Kirkwall.
I originally planned to write about Kate living during the time of the Inquisition, but as I figured out her backstory, I fell in love with her wild, younger self, and decided to forego the flashbacks and to give the cheeky, lost girl her own story. Her journey through the Inquisition will be the second part of the series. I am a big fan of Dragon Age 2, so it really was inevitable that we’d end up here…

This is a novelization of Dragon Age II. Expect moderate AU with extrapolation, clarification and some addition to both the story and lore of Dragon Age II in order to better tell its tale. Changes to the deep lore are minimal, but expect most events to play out differently than they did in game. Martin's origin is unique from any in Origins.
