The Wandmaker's Niece follows American exchange student Jade Thorn as she attends Hogwarts in 1976 along with Lily Evans and the Marauders. Raised around magic as part of nature, rather than power, Jade arrives with a different perspective on wizarding ways, and very little intention of becoming entangled in British traditions. This story explores the Marauder's time from an outside perspective, where Jade finds herself pulled into friendship, romance, and of course mystery. Sirius Black, brilliant, reckless, and already carrying more weight than most people see, becomes a challenge and a connection she can't deny. This is a story about youth on the edge of something bigger, magic as an art, and what it means to be marked for tragedy.
This story has lived quietly in my head for years before I finally found the time, and maybe the courage, to write it down. I always wanted to explore Sirius Black as not just a reckless marauder or a tragic fugitive, but as a deeply broken man who still deserved moments of light and connection. I've always believed even the darkest of characters should have pockets of joy, reminders that they are human. This story lives in that space.

Summary
After Voldemort takes over the ministry, and boots the Muggle-Born from Hogwarts, he enacts a marriage law to boost the population of magical children. His most faithful Death Eater's of course, get first choice of brides.
After finding out Voldemort plan on starting the age of brides at 15, newly appointed Headmaster Severus Snape has to figure out how to protect his students, as well as minimize the aftermath of those he is unable to protect as much as possible.
And he himself is not immune from being matched. He will need to protect this young student as well as maximize the opportunity the proposed union will present. Because he still has to find Harry Potter and assist him in defeating the Dark Lord.
It is shaping up to be a very difficult school year.

Fiana jumped and looked up from her half-finished drawing to the source of the noise. A man was standing at the front of the room next to the teacher’s desk and Fiana blinked at the sheer foreignness of his- well, everything. He looked like he’d stepped right out of a fantasy novel. His face was kind though, with pretty silver eyes that reminded her of the moon and full lips that were pulled into a slight smile, something that made warmth bloom in her chest. After all, it wasn’t often someone smiled at her.

“I’m Wei Ying, courtesy name Wuxian. What’s your name?”
