I haven't finished reading yet, but I do not want to risk losing this by accidentally closing a tab or whatever.
This fic is the perfect AOB. It's plot driven, the characters are as strong and assertive as they're meant to be, no matter what their gender or sex is here. It's not one of those disgusting heat driven porn fics. The characters have detailed backgrounds and deep character.
Dean, whether he's an omega or not, should be able to make mince meat out of six or so civilians by himself like in this fic.
So other fics with their whelpy weak ass omegas and hand wavy world building with porn level personality should get the fuck out of my face.And fucking amazing writing. The interactions and conversations lending hints to a deeper revelation. And how smart it is for the characters to be able to read that. To deduce that out of small details. Makes you want to read slowly and absorb everything to do the detective work yourself.

Will knew what had happened. He knew exactly how Abigail's ear had gotten into him, who had shoved it down his throat. He also knew that trying to indicate Hannibal as a killer again was futile. Jack seemed to want to believe him, going by the conversation in the BSHCI's visitor hall, but Jack needed something concrete, evidence. Hannibal had eluded capture for so long, he wasn't going to start leaving fingerprints or hairs at his crime scenes now.
No, Will was going to deal with Hannibal Lecter on his own terms. The man deserved to reap what he'd so carefully sowed, didn't he? He deserved to experience what he'd coaxed forth from the bottom of Will's soul, to see the result of his machinations.

Quite remarkably written. Follows canon quite closely, doesn't feminise one of them and writes them as equals. Definitely versatile, but one misgiving I have is that there are no top Will scenes - not in the literal sense. Still, it was irrefutably awesome. A well written and believable parallel universe of "What if ( )".

Summary
Will wouldn't ever say that the shape Hannibal has carved into his life is comfortable. But it is reliably there, and without it, Will is fairly sure that he would spring a leak and all the water would come pouring in.
But Hannibal is more than a shape in his life. The man has his own life, his own spaces and agendas to attend to. And Will has come to the stinging realisation that he may have to share Hannibal's time with others.
The thing is, Will doesn't like sharing.

Hannibal doesn't take from anyone. He prepares his own food, cleans his own house, and uses his own supplies.
So, when Hannibal starts driving Will's car everywhere, people are curious. Trust is so rare with these two, and it both makes perfect sense and is utter nonsense that it would reside between them.
(Basically, Hannibal borrows Will's car and everyone is super nosy about it.)

Hannibal finds himself unexpectedly attracted to Will's dominance. Will stumbles upon his submissive streak by accident, and is quick to seize this opportunity.
