The stairs for the court were under renovation.
That was... fine. It was bound to happen. The place needed some more work done, to be fair. He'd just... take the elevator. He had Phoenix accompanying him.
Not even five minutes later, and he was sitting in the corner of the elevator - sitting timidly, shaking, hugging his knees as his guardian angel was trying to get him through it.
Meanwhile the security guard who came with them was slowly becoming frantic and losing control, prompting impending confrontation.
His worst nightmare came back to haunt him again.
In which Miles has to take the elevator with Phoenix and an earthquake occurs, leading to them being stuck in the elevator with a security guard.
When things take a turn for the worse as a physical confrontation occurs between a panicking guard and Phoenix, Miles has to relive his past trauma coming back to scar him once more.

Dotingly, he tells Minho, “I think you did alright, all things considered.”
Minho scoffs. “Thanks,” he mumbles. The shade of pink painted from his ears, to his cheeks, to his neck suits him beautifully. It’s amazing how youthful he looks in this moment, untroubled, as though he, too, has experienced some manner of release.
“You’re wrong, by the way.”
Minho tips his head to the side with an inquisitive hum.
“That guy you were talking about isn’t as self-assured as you think,” says Jisung. “If he were, he would’ve trusted his intuition the first time it told him you were into him like that.”
“When was that? The first time…” Minho’s voice is delicate, and there’s so much wonder in his lovely, curious eyes.
“When you smiled at him after he brought you coffee all those months ago.”
Minho positively beams at that, both delighted and disbelieving. “Really?”
“Oh, for sure.” Jisung smirks, tipped and lazy. “Gayest smile he’d ever seen, but he thought he was so fucking crazy for thinking that.”
Minho bursts into a fit of bubbly laughter, and Jisung laughs with him—until he’s reminded a couple seconds later of the not-so-funny reason he rejected his intuition back then--of the reason he’s been rejecting it ever since.
Gradually, his laughter tempers into a rueful smile, and he diffidently admits, “he put in a lot of work to convince himself there was no way a guy like you could ever be into a guy like him.”

Buck’s face became redder as he began to read the tweets. The most liked tweet coming from someone named Guillermo Díaz, Buck had no idea who that was, but the guy had those blue check marks by his name and over 800,000 likes. ‘Jesus.’ Buck vaguely knew who Lin-Manuel Miranda was, he tweeted out a video of Buck and Eddie hugging.
He scrolled lower and swore loudly. “The Rock and Smash Mouth tweeted about us.” Buck bit the inside of his cheek hard, “Great.” He groaned sarcastically. He didn’t even know that Smash Mouth had a twitter account. “Why would Smash Mouth even have a twitter account?” he asked aloud.-

Galveston, Texas, 1900
Ponyboy Curtis and his family live in the island town of Galveston. Life has been rough waters since his parents died in a maritime accident eight months ago. But his brothers are trying. Life's alright with Johnny Cade at his side and the rest of his gang to back him up, especially when "wharf dogs" like them are targeted by the east side "stockings," the rich kids from the Silkstocking District.
Galveston is built to weather storms. But even then, they'll never see a hurricane in their lives. It just isn't a possible phenomenon. Ponyboy and his family have enough storms to weather in their own lives, all meteorology aside. Galveston is the fastest-growing southern city in the country. There's nowhere to go but up. And Ponyboy has great expectations as a boy who lives in what is soon to be Texas's greatest city.
