When a stranger challenges him to a card game, he finds himself confronted with the truth that things he had considered fiction till now are in fact part of his reality. Soon enough he finds out about the other Digimon Tamers, the Digimon and a strange girl, who seems to be able to summon the creatures from another world at will.
Denrei has always dreamed of having a Digimon partner, has dreamed of an adventure of his own. But he soon has to find out, that adventures in the real world are far more deadly, than he has imagined them to be.

The Digital World is experiencing a period of strife. During this time, it has suddenly found itself closely connected to the vibrant lands of Equestria. This sudden union has led to a Digital Gate opening up near the border between the Everfree Forest and Poneyville. From within the Gate, nine Digi-Eggs fall and land near Fluttershy's home. Finding the eggs, the Element Of Kindness takes them to her home to care for them.
However, come the next day, the eggs have hatched into Baby Digimon. As the Mane Six and Spike form new bonds with these Digimon, they will soon find that the arrival the strange Digital Monsters brings forth three significant things:
New friends from another world.
New dangers from that same world.
And bonds that can overcome all obstacles.

Lately, the world has been experiencing an unknown surge of strange incidents, electronic abnormalities, and missing people. Four years ago, a six year old boy named Hitoki disappeared, son of the inventor Shinkibo Sosei and the doctor Shinkibo Ai, who along with their very house disappeared one winter.
