Life before the Affini Compact was terrible for many, but for QRK67-H4RT, the nightmare of the Terran Accord and the atrocities therein hasn't quite ended. Forced to contend with guardian programming installed as a punishment for a previous escape effort, as well as lacking crucial information about life outside an OCNI laboratory, it has not had the benefit of what life in the Compact can be like. To try and overcome this deficit, QRK67-H4RT watches videos on the Overnet to understand the phenomena of these "xenodrugs", and happens across a channel run by a particular floret who seems to have an understanding of synthetic existence than any organic possibly could.
To gain further insight, QRK67-H4RT ventures to the nearest xenoveterinarian, only for the guardian programming to trigger as soon as it walks in the door. Only, as it rushes back out, it's arrival and immediate exit is noticed by none other than Trystan Clematis, First Floret, partially-digitized overnet vid extraordinaire-- the very same channel QRK67-H4RT had been watching...
