Chapter Text
At Connor’s Lab…
Curt was doing blood tests on Spider-man’s DNA once again as he kept notes on the recent changes it was going through… no, not changes but rather evolution.
Amazing… it was strange how this blood began to change, how Peter’s DNA evolved in such a fascinating way. The doctor also took note of the certain abilities and powers that began to surface while Martha was looking after the alien within the tube.
- Heightened Sight, Smell, hearing, and touch.
- Sharpened reflex
- Some form of telekinesis titled spider-sense
- Heightened regenerative healing factor
- Sharpened strength and agility
- Second transformation
- Ability to molt to his original form
- Communications with Spiders?
- Heightened Intelligence
- Retractable Fangs
- Venom with different effects depending on the diet
“Curt, why don’t you take a break for a moment? You’ve been studying Spider-Man nonstop since he offered to be researched.” Martha offered the man.
“His DNA is truly fascinating, though. His evolutionary development is growing more rapidly. He might even become the next evolution between humanity and spider.” Curt informed, still trying to figure out the puzzle with the young intern Peter’s DNA and how he can possibly change in such a way.
According to his cells
He was 100% human and 50% spider.
That shouldn’t be possible.
“Speaking of DNA, we should collect some samples of the V-252. The more we find out about our little hitchhiker the better.” Martha advised as the slime was twitching a bit.
Eddie peered in to get a closer look.
“Hard to believe that it’s an alien life form. Anyone could have mistaken it as an oil spill or something.” Eddie hummed while he saw the alien moving around a bit, “Yet, it shows signs of life like a jellyfish.”
“It’s truly a marvel. It even survived space, the fiery landing of the ship, and even the crash. It is pretty endurable.” Curt smiled while he put down his notes.
Soon Peter came in with Gwen, though he was not allowed to take pictures, yet. He still wanted to see it.
“Over here, Bro. The very first proof of alien life.” Eddie encouraged the boy as Peter was excited to see.
“Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh. Oh my Gosh.” Peter spoke eagerly as he hopped to the tube with the V-252.
“Yep, yep, I know.” Eddie grinned as well as he loved seeing Peter excited.
“Hey, hi there little guy. Welcome to Earth. I’m Peter.” He greeted the alien within, “Are you okay in there? Are you happy?”
“Peter, I highly doubt it understands what you’re saying, let alone have feelings similar to humans.” Gwen chuckled, finding it cute that Peter wanted to bond with the creature within.
“But you never know. Maybe they can.”
“They?”
“It is not an appropriate for the little thing, they’re not objects and since they don’t have a gender, I thought they would be appropriate,” Peter answered.
Within the tube…
“It is not an appropriate for the little thing, they’re not objects and since they don’t have a gender, I thought they would be appropriate.”
Who was this person?
They like this person.
They understood…
In this prison, this person, they knew this one was their savior.
This was the one they must bond with.
“Pete, that is an alien, not a puppy you find on the street.”
Pete, no Peter-wait Spider-man, they are the only ones to understand them.
“Well, maybe they just need a little love and attention.”
Yes, please! Let them out.
“No, love and attention. We need to study it… them and better understand the creature before we attempt any physical contact. It might be dangerous.”
No! No, don’t leave them in this prison!
Let them out! LET THEM OUT!!
“Let who out?”
Peter looked around to see who that voice was.
“Huh?” The blond voice.
“I thought I heard someone say, ‘Let me out.’ It sounded pretty close too.”
He heard them! He heard them! He is the one.
“Maybe you were hearing things. Pete, we should probably head back to school soon. We’ll be late.”
NO! NO!
COME BACK!
Within the lair of Tombstone…
“Truly interesting…” The Big man purred with delight at the latest attraction of the ESU, “Wonder what this creature could do for our organization.”
“And you wish for me to collect this creature?” The mysterious man wondered as they looked at the newspaper about it.
“Indeed, the V-252 is a treasure to be had, a treasure well-guarded by the spider, a treasure I wish to possess.” He informed coldly as he remembered well how the spider often interfered with his business.
The child was becoming problematic.
“And you wish for me to collect it… as him.”
“As him indeed. The boy needed to learn his lesson, and this would be the perfect way to punish him.” The Big Man declared as Spider-Man was useful, he needed to be taking down a peg.
“Do not worry. The alien will be in your possession and the Spider will not interfere again.”
“See that you don’t fail. I have low tolerance for failure.”
“I don’t fail. For I am everyone, even the spider.” The man declared as his face shapeshifted into the Spider-man’s mask.
