Lauren is at a bustling flea market in downtown Cleveland, searching for vintage records to add to her collection, when she spots an old, dusty ticket stub from one of Elton John's early concerts. Intrigued, she buys it, not knowing it's actually a rare, unused ticket to an upcoming private concert in New York.
Fast forward to the night of the concert, Lauren decides to take a chance and show up at the venue with the ticket in hand, expecting to be turned away. However, due to a clerical error, the ticket scans, and she is ushered into an intimate setting where the great Elton John is about to perform.
The concert is magical, and afterwards, during a meet-and-greet, Lauren shows Elton the ticket stub. He's amused and impressed by the story, leading to a conversation about music, Cleveland, and the quirks of fate. Elton, touched by Lauren's passion for his music, invites her to sit with him for a while, sharing stories and laughter. This moment turns into a night of unexpected friendship, where Lauren and Elton bond over their shared love for music and the bizarre twist of fate that brought them together.

Following the concert, through a stroke of luck, Lauren ends up backstage at the Barclays Center, inadvertently following Sir Elton. She finds herself unexpectedly stuck in an elevator with the music legend, leading to an intimate encounter between the two.
Lauren is 40, and Elton is 76. The story takes place in the present day.

Sometimes, the universe works to separate us from those we love. As their last semester at university comes to an end, it’s become evident that Toni, Gil, and Francis are struggling to handle what the universe has to offer. It has dictated that the three young men’s paths are likely going to diverge now that they’ve graduated — and all three, but especially Gilbert, are none too thrilled about this. Sensing the need for one last hoorah, the trio, goaded on by Gil, decide to embark on a game-changing journey: an epic, 2,500-mile, two-week trip from Cleveland to Olympic National Park. But the trip is over a week long each way, with a tight itinerary and some questionable pit stops. Whether or not they’ll be able to tolerate each other for the extended journey, especially as they encounter people and places that reflect more unusual walks of life, is up to each of them. Whether or not they come home from the trip feeling fulfilled and connected, though, just might be up to the universe. -
