Summary
All Samus wanted after ZDR was a quiet mission so she can collect her thoughts and still get paid. On what was supposed to be a simple survey commission, she is ambushed by Space Pirates and crash lands on an uncharted planet, HYL-628. With no information about this planet, and long range communications cut off by the magical field surrounding the solar system, Samus needs to figure out a way to get back to galactic civilization.
Meanwhile, Zelda is doing her best to rebuild Hyrule after years of Ganondorf's destruction and tyranny. Four years have passed since he was sealed away and she sent the Hero of Time back to the past. She has to contend with frayed foreign relations, renegades that used to be loyal to Ganondorf, and now a new threat from the skies that has been abducting people all over the land. The army loyal to her is ill-equipped to handle any of these issues as disaster looms over the nascent and bankrupt Kingdom of Hyrule.
This is a tale of two unlikely characters crossing paths, and how they face disaster together.

Soul is strength, soul is food, and soul is what they take and twist as you fall.

A grand reinvisioning of the Metroid universe focused around the lives of Samus and Arne, once intended to be Sylux but now branched off into an adjacent character; from the earliest days to every major chapter of their lives as they experience and shape the greatest time of crisis in an aeon. Whether it's grand missions or simple, quiet moments of day to day life, the story is fundamentally about what is like to grow up as a youth in the far future as the status quo crumbles away and far more uncertain and dangerous times await, and what it is like to be born human but raised by alien beings who are all but myth to most and to bear the burden of great expectations.

Undergoing fairly extensive rewrites to fix some internal continuity errors. The overall plot won't change though.

An attempt to tie the Metroid series' two halves together, wrangling several 20+ year old plot mysteries to form a cohesive story, aiming to be my preferred direction the series should take.
