Summary
This is the start of a series that will take place in my world of Agafos. A world that has lost much of its luster, magic, and wildness in return for stability, stagnation, and oppression. In one of the poorer kingdoms that dot the southern landscape, a ritual to bring back some of that wildness has succeeded. The world waits with baited breath as the Old Ways clash with the New, and those caught in the crossfire have to make a choice.

Summary
Beatrix is just a lowly acolyte of the Conclave of Light within the city of Stromhein. Her life has been hard, but manageable, especially with the aid of her dearest friend Varna. But when Varna convinces her to explore newly discovered catacombs underneath their cathedral, she suddenly finds herself directly in the middle of a conflict a thousand years in the making. Will she make it through the madness of lust and debauchery with her soul intact, or will she succumb to baser desires...
