Summary
It was going on the second hour of this negotiation wherein the Thalmor angrily insisted that another agent be arranged for transfer to the College immediately, and Tsabhira insisted that in all the alternate realities that paralleled theirs, in all the possible different twists and turns of linear time, there was absolutely zero places in any possible universe where she allowed that to happen. Even in the ones where she was some sort of venomous plant in Black Marsh and not the Archmage at all, she somehow still prevented the new agent from setting foot in Winterhold.

And finally the third was that she didn’t seem to have much of a sense of humor. It wasn’t that she was sharp, or dour, particularly serious. Jokes simply flew over her head like a bird flown too low, and that was that; if she found him funny she gave literally zero outward indications of such, and frequently responded to his hilarious quips about the various beasts and citizens they passed with a queer look like she wasn’t quite sure she’d heard him right.

Summary
“Oh look, a cave—” she’d noticed and was already peering inside by the time he got it all out, “—said the idiot companion.” He followed her, easily able to see into the dark over the shoulder— more accurately her head, but he’d never say so. “I think its a ladder,” he said, squinting. She made a move for it and he grabbed the back of her robes. “I also think the one able to parry a sword without the use of their ribcage should go first.”
“Nothing stops a sword like setting the wielder on fire.”
“Nothing stops a mage from casting fire like a sword to the ribs.”

Summary
“How did Tolfdir know that we would be all right going on ahead? I mean, we can take care of ourselves, but he doesn’t know that,” he said. She snorted quietly, and shrugged.
“Maybe we impressed him.”
“Maybe you impressed him, unless he’s particularly dazzled by elves who stand around and do nothing but look like they’d rather be anywhere else.” Draugr tombs were much better when you expected them, although to be fair he didn’t know what he had been expecting when they said Saarthal, the first Nord settlement that was wiped out by elves. Anywhere there were dead Nords tended to be trouble, much like places where there were alive Nords. “And in that case I bet he can barely keep from drooling at the sight of Ancano.”

Summary
Fairne has spent years wandering Tamriel in repentance for failing Martin Septim and watching his empire crumble to dust. Pushing aside the madness inherent in her mantling of the Mad God, she finds herself in Skyrim as the dragon crisis rises from the ashes of Helgen. Despite her many failings, she's still a Blade; and so she sets out in search of the Last Dragonborn.
Tsabhira is nothing like Martin Septim.

Summary
Brelyna leaned back, apparently taking a moment to confirm that no, Tsabhi wasn’t being obtuse and really didn’t grasp what exactly Brelyna wanted from her. “Are you and him… gods, Tsabhi, I’ll be honest. I have thirty septims on secretly married.”
“Married?” It slipped out of her mouth before she could absorb it, loud enough that the entire room fell silent as Urag stood and stared out for a moment, in warning.
“Onmund picked related but of course he did; J’zargo seems to be winning with just weird,” she whispered with a wicked grin.

Summary
Tsabhira looked...tense. “I genuinely don’t have words for what just happened.”
“Was the dagger thing too much?” In retrospect it felt like a lot, but she hadn’t been present for every nightmarish summer spent hiding in bushes to get away from someone who didn’t even have the decency to beat him up like a normal bully.
“Just sort of baffling, I think. I didn’t expect you to try and kill him.”
“I know how this sounds after all that, but I wasn’t actually trying. As always, you’re just my better judgment from minute to minute.”

Summary
“What do you think?” she asked.
“I think you’re an exceptional mage, but clearly any idiot could see that. I think the college would benefit from someone with a dose of humility and the good sense to come in from the rain.”
“And?”
“And do you think it’s one of those jobs where you’d have to live in Winterhold full time?”
“Absolutely not.”
“In that case I think you should take it, if you want. They’re definitely not going to find anyone better.”

Summary
“Does Tsabhi strike you as the pretty flowers type?”
“Honestly? Aye, for sure she does.” Adrain gestured over to Tsabhi, swatting his man on the leg. “Don’t you think so Braric?”
“The Dragonborn? Maybe. Hard to say if she seems the sort or if I just think pretty elves should have pretty flowers.” Rumarin snorted, feeling his face go hot because actually that wasn’t a bad reason to get her flowers.
