An Alt-Power Taylor story with a little twist on the common way these stories go.
A Taylor fed up with the corruption and inaction of those in power chooses to act with her own new found powers, seeking refuge with some of the only people who cared to help here, weather it was their job or not. She fights to keep them afloat as the mayor comes with his chopping block. And it all culminates one day, months later, when the first calls come in.
The Diamond Inn was burning.
Standing high over the city the pillar of glass and steel that would inspire awe in visitors any other day, now only served to draw fear. Great plumes of smoke and flame poured from windows, the city's called in all they have for this fight. Across the city alarms rang out in empty stations, it was all or nothing. But the mayor's budget cuts hit hard, few high-rise companies remain in the city; even fewer trained for skyscrapers. Everyone who's left is here, hundreds of lives are still at stake inside; they'll fight their hardest this day, but will it be enough? Will they have the men, the equipment to fight this? The chance of failure is high in the minds of those present, but the question remains;
Do they have a choice?

Faced with the utter failure of the U.S. healthcare and Insurance systems, Taylor decides to make her own.
