Summary
The ancient legends of the Draconid people speak of a magnificent guardian, created in the distant dawn of the world to quell the rages of the two legends whose dominion encompassed all the sea and earth. Yet millennia-old murals in a sacred, rarely visited tower oft fail to tell the true story, and some details were simply never recorded in the first place.
Meanwhile, Ash wants some excitement that isn't his siblings trying to wreck the geosphere again, and a trainer's journey might just be the way to do it. The only problem is- how?
After all, massive dragons aren't your typical trainers.

Feeling down after failing to catch Mew on Faraway Island, Goh calls his most optimistic friend to commiserate only to find out that Ash mysteriously skipped out on the last round of the Masters Eight. Curious and concerned, and with no answers forthcoming from Ash, he decides to take matters into his own hands and figure out what's wrong himself.
After all, Ash is his friend- and no matter how much his failures in Project Mew yet lay heavy on his mind, he's not going to let anyone hurt him.

Mew's plans for the century certainly didn't have him interacting much with humans, much less pretending to be one- but the best laid plans of man and beast are wont to go astray, and a few overripe mago berries, a tipsy teleport, and his typical whimsey was always a recipe for disaster to begin with. At least he gets gummy fish. Mmm, gummy fish.
Everything else is secondary, but as per the usual, manages to cause chaos nonetheless.
