Description:

All it takes is one little difference to change many things, and when James T. Kirk was born on a shuttle fleeing a tragedy of catastrophic proportions, well, there was one thing not quite...typical about him. A tale of family, love, understanding, Ghirardelli mint chocolates, and clogged vacuums.

Notes:

This is an AU/AR wing!fic, with a few concepts borrowed from X-men. No knowledge of X-men is needed to read this story, however. :)

The story begins with Christopher Pike, when Jim is 11, continues on with Jim and Jonathan Archer at 16, then returns to Chris when Jim is 19-22, then Jim takes the reins from about 20-25. The story then moves on with Leonard "Bones" McCoy, when Jim is 25, then to an ensemble cast later that same year. Then we'll zoom back to Chris and John's dipshit early days and see a bit of their hijinks. :D

This was envisioned as a serious attempt at a wing!fic, a concept I feel is largely overlooked or not fleshed out beyond being used as a plot device very often, so I hope you enjoy my attempt to give it a more comprehensive whirl! :D

Update 4/11/22: I'm uploading cleared up/mildly edited versions of the finished fics, I found myself inspired to work on this again. :D Hopefully I can get #6 done omg it's only been over 10 years haha

Update 6/27/22: #6 is DONE! I'll be posting Part #7, a sequel set during Into Darkness, soon, followed by a short prequel to the whole series, from John's POV (and him and Chris being idiots lolol) Thank you so much for reading!!

Update 7/2/22: I've started posting #7, my apologies if you got a double notice, I had to delete the original posting because I didn't know how to fix something xD;

Update 7/9/22: Time for #8! :D A story of two idiots probably finding their soulmates haha

Update 7/24/22: #9 is a silly touch of crack taken seriously mixed with oops, plot is passing us by? ^^;
