Wheezing, Phil raised his head. Blurry shapes moved around in front of him, and he blinked weakly. Heat ran down the side of his head, and he swallowed weakly. Swallowing, he opened his mouth, tried to speak.
A gentle hand ran through his hair, and he felt his eyes flutter shut for a second. A rattling breath echoed through his chest, and he swallowed painfully.
“Phil…us. Come…stay with…” Voices cut in and out, and Phil swallowed painfully. It hurt to breathe.

One of her hands intertwined with his, the other settling on his shoulder as his rested on her hip. “Someone teach you?”
“Mmm, you could say that.” He commented, letting her lead instead. She laughed softly.
“So you’re one of those fancy boarding school boys, huh, stranger?”

Jack had been avoiding Phil.

The same papers that had been written up and signed and magicked when he was first captured. The same papers that meant Phil could do anything to him if he wanted. The same papers that, with a few misplaced words and a hand on them, could stop Jack’s heart and breathing without him being able to do anything about it.
