Description:

A Banana Fish epilogue series, where Ash lives.
There will be a couple of major fics here, plus several one-shots, all interlinked with my own headcanon ending.

Notes:

I have a headcanon that Eiji is homo-demiromantic asexual, and this plays quite a big part in this series. Ash is the first person he has ever developed romantic feelings for, so he was confused at first because they are new and unfamiliar emotions which he initially mistakes for deep friendship. He only comes to understand the scale and nature of his feelings much later on (absence makes the heart grow fonder, so they say). It also means he has little to no interest in sex, and any relationship he does have focuses on other forms of intimacy and is a lot more spiritual in nature.
Ash, meanwhile, is bi/pansexual, but celibate through trauma. He found Eiji cute right from the start, and fell for him hard after he pole vaulted because he was simultaneously brave, beautiful, selfless, and free. Those feelings have only strengthened with time as he got to know Eiji better, but his own personal issues and low self-esteem have prevented him acting on them. He is more than happy to engage in a sexless intimate relationship.
