Comment on Releases 0.9.420 - 0.9.426: Change Log

  1. I used to read somewhere some fics are purposefully mistagged (especially with the rather less-common languages) to avoid fandom onslaught or something like that. It's annoying, especially when it's a language not many people write fics in.

    1. Well, that's kinda sad then. First because people have to do this to avoid being bullied by the fandom they're in and second because other people may be finding foreign language works or straight up gibberish instead of fics in the language they are looking for.

      1. It's not even primarily/specifically because of bullying (well, from some posts I read sometime ago); more like they just don't want the fic to 'leave the containment' so to speak. In my experience people who post dark fic. spicy stuff, or first-time dead dove posters typically used the Anonymous collection feature or create a separate account. It's just sad that bad actors misused an otherwise useful feature.

      2. As someone who besides English reads in a language that gets mistagged works even if it's not something obscure (Spanish) that is reportable. It's in the TOS.

I don't like people using the Spanish tag to make my life difficult.

        1. Yeah, I reported a few mistagged works a few months ago, but still haven't received any response. It's very much possible that this stuff is being reported quite often and gets the lowest priority. Still, it's good to try

          1. They do take a while reaching them, but it gets corrected in the end ❤️❤️
