Kris and co find themselves in the underground
What I like about this fic is it’s exactly what it says, starts off with Frisk being really confused when a reset happened.
Honestly my favorite part is Frisk here, ie having to deal with suddenly being 12 again.
Kris and co are also fun with the misunderstandings piling up.

Slice of life-ish, no disasters, no mental breakdowns, just talking. Character interaction of a Player and the inhabitants. I like it for that. Great series.

No knowledge of Hunter x Hunter needed, the fic does a good job explaining the scene.We follow Frisk who manages to yeet herself over to Hunter X Hunter. Frisk has a lot of, baggage (survivors guilt ehe) from repeat being forced to genocide monsterkind by Chara/The-Player. It has story impact but it’s not drowning in it.
I like this fic, it’s fast paced (to me, I think 20k for an arc is quick-) and I like that. It moves, not fast that it skips the fun emotion bits but their is something going on, minimum nothing-filter.
I also like the character personality and interactions… like frisk being held up like a cat like WHEEEZE

Chara POV, Undertale Player is some weird eldritch light thing and revives Chara, they go through the underground. No genocide runs, pacifist and true pacifist only.
I really like how Chara is written, narrating everything even their own actions. And the struggle, from non-existence to existence, with a helpful light guiding the way.
I really like the Player interpritation here, granted I am a sucker for Player content.

Deltarune parallel to Undertale, Chara and Asriel.
Chara is a ghost and Asriel moves in. Their relationship in this is very well written. Same with how they are characterized, Asriel isn't a can-do-no-harm goat and actually has darkness. Chara is a dorky and lovable ghost and a child.
Lots of symbolism and detail in this fic, though it got lost of me until I looked in the comments.
This fic makes me feel a bit sad, melancholy for something that never happened yet did.

There was a skeleton on the ground with his hands over where his ears would be. Most of the skeleton had turned dark with glitches and the occasional error but part of his face and some of his left arm and torso was still white. He wore the typical Sans hoodie but with different colours and red glasses.
He was muttering to himself.

You don’t need to know really anything about the Undertale fandom multiverse, the fic does a good job at explaining each Sans. It also makes them pretty interesting and not cookie cutter cutouts.

Chara and Frisk share a body, and the player is some eldritch force making them do a genocide run. They do manage to finish off Sans and Chara manages to cut the connection… until they need the player back to reset the world
The fic does a good job at emphasizing loneliness and slow self-decay.
Very short. Most of the chapters are one paragraph.

Ignore the Chara/Everyone tag, no ships happen in this ficThis fic is more about having fun than anything serious. The plot is a bit over the place, several plot holes, it's about having fun. It does not take itself seriously and thats ok.
Chara ends up in the world of this Demon Slayer anime, and stuff happens. That's the fic.
It's just a fun read, the gamer stuff and background can be a bit offputting, but I binged this in a few days. The fic is pure self fufillment and practically a pure form of fic.

Mind the tags, but they mainly are backstory for one chapter and character. Said chapter has its own content warnings.
A fun read, and it did make me emotional, in a good way.
The feeling of melancholy, about the journey and not the destination. In which the author grows as well as the story.
At first glance it seems like an undertale rewrite but with minor changes. And that is true, but the major thing is the emotional gut punches. It’s funny, it’s comedic, it’s sad, it’s serous.
Chara accompanies Frisk through the underground, and things happen.
The format is a bit confusing upon first look, but you’ll figure it out. It’s a memor type style but it switches to mini parts of commentary to logs to personal perspectives.
This fic is about the journey, and all the wonderful and horrible things that come with it. After all, you can’t have highs without lows.

Frisk is the ambassador for monsterkind, and finally achieved there goal. Monsters now have the same rights as humans.
Then Frisk cracks from stress. All those memories, incidences, misc timelines, and the cherry on top there body is destroying itself.
So, Frisk drives off without telling anyone, leaving everyone worried.
Frisk and Sans POV/centric. Both sides make mistakes.
I like the chapters that are in Frisk’s POV, adult Frisk is rare. I like Sans’s less so but still a good read.

Post pacifist ending, Frisk leaves. While adventuring they think about things, mainly their indeivual copmanions, Chara and the Player. Only that the Player left.
Bitersweet. I mean it IS a happy ending. But the ending feels hollow, like it can be so much better. Well written, I like how Frisk is here.

A well written character exploration, exploring the dynamic between Chara and Frisk. Second person POV.
They both have a lot of issues, but over time they learn to adapt and actually accept help from each other. Granted it takes a while. A while, see: tags and over 10k words.
Frisk falls into the underground with Chara as a ghost companion. They go from enemies to friends to even enjoying eachothers company.
Chara isn’t pure evil and Frisk isn’t a saint, both have flaws and this fic explores the consequences of said flaws.

Frisk climbs a mountain and inadvertently awakens an ancient terror sleeping beneath the flowerbed they land on when they fall. If by "ancient terror" one assumes the less-popular definition of "annoying narrator-ghost princet of monsterkind who is now, unfortunately, permanently stuck in their head."
Chara doesn't want to be awake. They especially don't want to be helpless in the back of a bloodthirsty human's head, watching them ruin the only home they've ever known with no power other than their voice to fight back with. Luckily for them, that's not what's happening at all. Unluckily for them, they may have to re-evaluate a few things about their worldview. Which, for someone as set in their ways as them, is not an easy thing to do.
(Then there's the matter of the weird flower, Frisk's unusual powers, and the Longest of Long Days the underground has ever seen.)Chara & Frisk no player AU true pacifist. Completed!

Cannon retelling, but Frisk is a child and has a lot of issues. And so does Chara, both of them have issues like not being able to understand that people want to love them.
My favorite part of this is Frisk. Frisk POV, and they feel like a kid. Scattered thoughts jumping around with a lack of knowledge and doing things on instinct.
Good writing, good fic.

[Finished reading work 4 chapter 38 as of 03/21/2025]
The first work is a Cannon retelling but Asriel takes Toriels spot and Frisk is Something else. Major changes start diverging after the Mettaton fight, though worldbuilding has been set up beforehand. It’s mainly a setup for the rest of the story though a good pallet cleanser by itself.
The real meat of the story starts after work 1, in which it goes into a true pacifist surface arc where all the worldbuilding from the first fic starts applying. It’s much better than the first work in my opinion and I did enjoy it more. I really liked the original storylines, especially ‘Frisk’
The main thing I like about this series is the single-sentence one-liners. Like there funny, and honestly add a bit of flavor to the story.
The Asriel/Origenal character ship is platonic, though everyone else in the fic thinks they are dating. I personally do not like it but within the story the fic makes it work.
My only gripe are the moments invoking contemporary politics, but it’s easily skippable which I did. Though admittedly I cringed at reading those parts.
