Summary
Klaus isn’t sure what drives his next movement. He had never been particularly brave or self-sacrificing – usually leaving those stupid heroics to Luther or Diego. But he is suddenly on his feet and stepping in between the detective and the hitwoman as she pulls the trigger.
Klaus staggers back, feeling the impact of the bullet like a punch to the chest.

Klaus’s rescue from Hazel and Cha Cha plays out a little differently. Instead of escaping through the vent and disappearing into the past, Klaus takes the bullet meant for Detective Patch and bleeds out on the motel floor. The thing is, he doesn’t stay dead.
Cue, afterlife epiphanies, surprise revivals, and Diego & Ben being mother hens.

Klaus, upon appearing in 1960, had promptly learned three things.
The first was that ghosts can time travel. The second: Ben's not the only ghostie who can cling on for a ride.
And the third? The third thing that Klaus had learned in 1963, he had discovered a month after landing, and rediscovered every day since. He had learned that ghosts, if they're motivated enough, can invade his body and make their home there. And they never leave.

Summary
Vanya, eyes wide, gets up, and the two of them follow Ben, winding around the shelves and staying close to the ground while the cashier and robber yell at each other. They manage to stay out of sight, and they’re almost at the door when someone else busts in.
“Drop the gun!” growls a very familiar man in a stupid mask and a leather harness.
“Oh. My. God,” says Ben.
“Man, come on,” Klaus moans. “What is this, a family reunion? We’re collecting the whole set?”
...
Diego, Vanya, and Klaus (plus Ben) happen to run into each other one night, meeting in the same grocery store - each of them there for very different reasons. Set pre-canon, and the siblings are about twenty-two or so.

Summary
There’s a knock at the door.
Hands fumbling the locked doorknob.
A hitched sob, the familiar thud of a forehead hitting the door.
“Diego,” Klaus mumbles. Another shaking sob; quiet, like he’s either trying not to cry or trying not to let Diego know he is. “Di,” he tries again. “Please. Let me in. I need- I need you to let me in.”
Diego rests his forehead against the cool wood and, for one tremulous moment, debates just…not opening the door.
“I thought-” Klaus continues, voice thick. “I thought I saw him. It looked just like him.” He laughs, but it’s not a very pleasant sound. It’s choked and strained and so, so tired.
“Ben told me it wasn’t him, but I would have sworn-”
Diego opens the door.
