He didn’t wait to see if it hit. He grabbed Kacchan’s arm and pulled, and the adrenaline must have given him an extra burst of strength because Izuku knew he shouldn’t have been able to pull Kacchan free but it didn’t matter now because All Might had come and he defeated the villain and Kacchan was free and Kacchan was safe and Kacchan was okay."
Izuku and Katsuki haven't seen each other since Inko died and Izuku was put into the system. So when they finally find each other after Izuku's dreams are crushed and Katsuki nearly dies, they're not letting each other go.

Since they're never around each other in public, they just never really bring each other up. Needless to say, when their friends find out they're dating they're all shocked.
