"i didn't think shouto would be that close to that obnoxious kid..." Endeavor mutters aloud from the passenger seat of his car to nobody in particular.
"They seemed like good friends! I'm glad shouto has such kind people to lean on in times of need" fuyumi voices, her voice full of joy for her younger brother. They didn't know much of shouto's friends except for midoriya and bakugou whom they've already had dinner with during their internship. They both seemed like kind people and no doubt, great pro heros to be.
"Hah! Good friends? Nice one fuyumi." Natsuo scoffs from beside her in the backseat. His hand leaning against the window sill as he looks out at the people driving by in the busy streets.
It's dark and already time for dinner, their mother is probably waiting at home for their return so they stopped by and picked up some to go boxes to eat.
Fuyumi raises her eyebrows at natsuo's comment. To her, the two boys seemed close enough for him to even invite shouto over for dinner. Why else would shouto want to go? Even the bakugou family seemed well acquainted with shouto, enough for shouto to compliment their cooking. That's a huge deal coming from shouto, the man who's number two passion is eating.
"Hm? I thought they seemed really close, isn't that right dad?" Fuyumi curiously pulls her dad into the discussion. She wasn't close to any of shouto's friends but if natsuo knew any better than her then she'd like to know too.
"Who knows with that bakugou guy...he's a wild card at best." Endeavor comments half mindedly. Even after spending weeks with the two of shouto's friends, the one boy he couldn't decipher at all was bakugou. He was loud, brash, obnoxious, and quite foul mouthed. He was however, smart and quick at his feet he won't deny. He was also knowledgeable and talented with his quirk and sheer strength, no doubt, a powerful hero to become. Though, his booming personality was no help to his overall image. He didn't understand what shouto found so interesting in that boy to be close friends with him. If anything, he'd heard bakugou reject Todoroki's friendly advancements a handful of times.
"Are you sure you're the number one hero? How can you the both of you be so stupid!" Natsuo clicks his tongue. This makes both fuyumi and endeavor looks towards him, waiting for him to elaborate. "They're clearly together" he quips his eyebrows while making vague gestures with his hands which do nothing but confuse endeavor even further so he turns back around to focus on the details in his phone instead. It wasn't his place to prod into his son's life, even though he desparately wanted to know. "Y'know? Are you blind?" Natsuo laughs at fuyumi who seems as confused as ever.
"I have no idea what you mean you weirdo.." she ponders over his words. More than friends..? As in.. she whips her head around with broad eyes as the meaning of natsuo's words slowly begin to settle in. There's no way natsuo meant that shouto and the blonde boy...
"What?! Really?" She questions with a shrill tone making natsuo laugh harder.
"Did you seriously not notice? Not even when they were literally holding hands in front of us?! Those two are fucking and that's for sure" he wipes a tear away when he settles down.
"What?!" Now it's endeavor's turn to whip around in shock. Natsuo sighs loudly and turns to look back out of the window while fuyumi and endeavor both exclaim in confusion and shock. It's their fault if they couldn't even notice something so clear. Though, he'll have to apologize to shouto for the mess he's created in their house now. And probably avoid seeing him for a while...
