The only way to describe this fic is: it’s an onion.
On the surface, it’s a cute angel/demon (or in this case, reaper/goblin) -esque romcom. But half of it is a Goryeo Dynasty historical military au + reincarnation? Fun!But the thing that really makes this fic as amazing at it is, is how unreliable the narrators are. Every chapter shows you a new side to the characters that makes you have to re-evaluate your opinion on them.
This imo, is the strongest aspect of the fic that elevates it from good to amazing.I’ve known about this fic for years because it’s such a classic in the Mamamoo fandom. Having finally gotten around to it, all I can say is DESERVED. And now I finally have context to all the amazing fanart of this fic I’ve seen over the years on moomoo twt.
+ mysterious sexy Hwasa existing to cause both chaos and order in the world? How very canon compliant.
