Derek doesn't exactly help the situation by doing just about everything you shouldn't do to a traumatized abuse survivor, like breaking his arm for no reason other than being annoyed with him. Isaac finds it inconceivable that Derek would not only give him something as big as the bite but also take him in, hide him from the authorities and only expect loyalty in return. The constant stress of waiting for Derek to finally take what he wants gets to be too much, so instead Isaac approaches Derek thinking if he initiates then at least he retains some illusion of control.
