Shinji sat in the living room watching House MD, It was 11am and he was bored out of his mind
Suddenly Asuka walked out from her room “Are you seriously still watching house? it's not even that good of a show…” Asuka asked Shinji as she sat down on the couch.
“You just don't understand good shows, I'll give you credit for not watching basic white girl shit like love island, but is stranger things really that much better? im begging you watch Dexter once and you'll understand what i mean”
Suddenly shinji got a text from Rei “Let's play 8-Ball!” Rei loved playing 8 ball on messenger for some reason, but Shinji was getting ready to leave to meet up with touji and kensuke, so he quickly replied to Rei with “not right now sorry” and headed off.
Asuka sighed and started browsing Netflix, waiting for anything to actually happen when she heard a knock at the door Misato was gonna be at the geofront late tonight, so it couldn't be her, and Shinji of course had plans. So who could it be? to her shock Rei was the one who was at the door.
“What do you want, doll?” Asuka grumbled “Ikari said I should try being more social with those around me, and since he is busy you are the only option.” Rei explained calmly. Asuka sighed, and reluctantly let rei watch tv with her
"Do you have any suggestions, wondergirl?" "No, as i do not believe you would like to watch a nature documentary" Asuka expected nothing less from Rei, she definitely seemed like the type of person who spends all day watching David Attenborough.
She then decided to put on Smiling friends because her reaction to it would be fucking HILARIOUS
Rei binged the entire series with asuka, she didn't really understand it at all but it was... nice, nice to not have asuka yell at her. she wished asuka was like this more. Meanwhile Asuka was bummed out Rei didn't really respond, so she decided to ask her about it
"so what did you think of Smiling friends?"
"I don't understand it but the tiny green guy with the hat is cute."
"that's Glep. he's uhh... well he's there."
"i see. thank you for showing me." and without another word Rei left
Asuka felt..... saddened by it? but she hated wondergirl, what the fuck was going on!?
this was not the first time she felt like this, recently she's been acting strange around her friends, especially hikari and mari
but now rei? what the hell did any of this mean!?
