"How's Rinascita been treating you?" Rover eventually prompts, his voice cracking at the edges. "Their pizza tropicale is quite good— though don't let Cartethyia hear that."
"There's more sunlight than Jinzhou, that's for sure. It's a nice change of scenery than anything. It's been a while since I've seen so much sun."
The other resonator smiles, the warm glow of the light turning his black hair gold along the edges. Jiyan swallows. He's missed Rover, no matter how long it's been he wishes the two of them spent more time together. More than anything, he wishes Rover would call him once in a while. At the very least, he could offer some sort of comfort.
Otherwise, it's like now where Jiyan doesn't know what's wrong.
"That's good," Rover replies, his words warm. Whatever was previously bothering him has been pushed out of mind for the moment. "That's good. I'm happy for you."
