Haruka's ring would be silver, with a bright stone in the center that reminds her so much of her mom's ring that Uncle Kaz carried around that it knocks the wind right out of her, pulling her back to the present as she stands at the front of the room past the pews. It makes her remember that he wouldn't be there.
And it would hurt, that yawning maw of grief hitting her again when she stands in front of her found family to swear her love to Yuta but doesn't have the one piece of her family that's so important to her.
But she would persist, and they would be married. And wouldn't that be what matters?-
Kiryu hates Hawaii a little less when he stumbles across family there.
