   Summary

   Stephanie Brown was born a child of a marriage that should have been a divorce, never fully maturing due to the complications of her childhood. Damian Al Ghul was born a child of something far messier than a situationship, forced into the mindset of an adult by the League when he was far too young.

   Neither knew much about their fathers beyond their reputations. So, when they finally got hold of the Bat, someone who promised to care for them, was a fatherly figure for his past wards… they still felt like outcasts.

   The two have fought together, Batgirl and Robin- side by side. Two lost souls, one refusing to grow up and the other forced to grow up too fast, healing through shared grief and embracing joy- or something akin to it.

   AKA, Stephanie and Damian are so Uptown Girls coded that it’s illegal how little people talk about it.
