Summary
Kip was in his mid-20s and, unlike most people he knew, had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. He was still living with his parents, had a useless degree, couldn’t find a job, and was watching his bank account run dry. His “love life,” if you could even call it that, was also one big disaster he couldn’t bring himself to fix. And it wasn’t like he was stupid. He could do things well; he just didn’t have any specific skill that came with a ready-made career path.
In short, he was a mess.
This weekend was going to be different, though—he’d been invited to his friend Martin’s birthday in one of New York’s more vibrant neighbourhoods, and he had already decided his usual bullshit wasn’t going to ruin those few days of escape. He wanted to live, even if only for a few short days.
Maybe he wouldn’t find an answer to all his issues there, but he could at least forget about them for once.
Or maybe the answer to all his struggles lay exactly there? With a mysterious guy wearing shades inside a bar (who does that?) and his incredibly expressive wolflike dog.
Kip would find out soon enough, but first thing he had to do, was to sing in front of the whole crowd... Maroon 5 it was then.
