It did worry her, however, that there was a lack of people out and about in the streets as they hurried past cars and down streets to reach the Ikeda household. She did see some crowds moving, and men in suits moving from door to door to ask people to come outside, but it wasn't… the looting and panic she'd expected from the kind of abandonment she was seeing. People were habitual—during a crisis, they rioted and looted, and they would claw at each other just to get the bare minimum that was in low supply.
It was just empty.
