Lionel Luthor's eyes fell onto the doorstep. Wrapped in a newspaper there were a bunch of flowers tied together with a string, next to it a small ceramic bird and a card. Intrigued he picked up everything from the ground, then carefully unfolded the card. It wasn’t even an actual card, it was a piece of regular paper folded in half. The message inside couldn’t be clearer: “I’ll always be there for you, Lex. Happy Valentine’s Day!”
Lionel checked his surroundings again, but the person delivering the gift had truly vanished. His eyebrow twitched in irritation as he read the card again. How dare they!---
