Summary
The buildup was slow.
Too slow, even for Ahmad’s betting board that they now kept hidden beneath the security room’s table. The one that’s not facing the door, that is. The one that neither Jack nor Samira could notice—especially because they were both so damn predictable in caring about little else than their patient’s wellbeing. And each other, of course, as everybody with a set of eyes and the littlest bit of common sense or romance noticed.
So they take matters into their own hands—which was likely when you considered they’re a set of nurses and doctors with not much time to spare, but that really want something else to think about other than the chaos of an Emergency Department.
This was an all-hands-on deck situation.
Well, except for the hands that should actually be on said deck.
Those hands, they better figure each other out—there’s no other choice, actually.
