It was dark outside of the inn they were staying at, and the falling snow cocooned the night into a comfortable silence. An oil lamp crackled in the room Lloyd and Javier shared, casting the room in golden yellow light, pairing perfectly with the warmth emanating from the ondol floor. It was in this quiet and content night that Lloyd was doing his best impression of a cat who not only got the canary, but also the blue jay, six sparrows, three squirrels, the neighbor’s rotisserie chicken, and a full serving of cat food.
