Albus Dumbledore returns to Godric’s Hollow after finishing school.The days follow one another without distinction: letters, caring for his sister, thoughts that refuse to loosen their grip. He does not know what to do next, and he does not hurry to decide. Then, a week later, he meets someone — and from that point on, everything begins to shift. Not at once, but irrevocably.
• This is a story about a choice that appears personal, yet proves to be historical.
The characters are written not as idealized figures, but as living, sharp — at times even abrasive — individuals.• I write them as they might have been: grounded in their own reality and their own time. I consciously avoid imposing modern language, pacing, or emotional patterns upon them.
• The text contains scenes of violence and morally ambiguous relationships. If you are accustomed to unconditional comfort between characters, this story may feel alien to you.
• There will be no familiar division into good and evil, right and wrong.
